The Best Way To Roast 15 Hot Dogs Over A Campfire

Buy a metal rake.

By the way, those are red hot dogs. Extremely popular up here. (My uncle calls them Northern Maine lobster rolls; the rake-roasting was also his idea.)

I thought they'd be favorites everywhere, but my brother tells me they're nowhere to be found in Florida. I've heard they don't exist in Ohio either.

I wonder what they roast on rakes everywhere else.

Hahah! Clever.

I've never had a red. I can't say I'm interested... the color just doesn't seem right. And I've never seen them outside of this part of the country!

That's awesome! I have never heard of red hot dogs- I don't think they exist up here in Canada.
I haven't seen any luna moths yet this year; they always make me stop and marvel and say a quiet prayer of thanks that I am able to witness such impossibly beautiful things.

@Christine: I wonder if I could mail some red hots dogs to you... I'm so close to Canada! It seems unjust to horde the red hot dog awesomeness. :)

We do that in Texas with marshmellows. Red hotdogs exist there, but no one eats them. Someone in the local grocery told me they are good if you like red dye. :\

@Britney: Is that someone the same someone that eats frog's legs? ;) Because then the credibility's up for grabs!
